Villa Veronica, built in 1741, is the largest private villa available for rental in Positano. All 12 bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms with 8 bedrooms with direct access to terraces; all suites with exceptional views facing Positano & the Mediterranean.
This property can be combined with neighboring Villa Princi for an additional 9 guests. If the Villa Veronica’s two quads are used, this villa can accommodate 24 guests + 9 with Villa Princi + 12 combined with Villa Antonella for a total of 45 guests. These three villas are all connected by a lovely sidewalk with easy access between the properties.
Not recommended for the mobiity impaired; 150 stairs from street level to villa. Porter available to carry luggage etc 8am-6pm.
The central level is for common use, the bedrooms and baths divided on the upper and lower levels. While there are some differences in configuration from the upper four to the lower four bedrooms, all are equally well furnished with antiques, hand-painted antique Neapolitan tiles from the 18th century and brand new upholstery and linens. The amenities include separate air conditioning units for the bathrooms and the bedrooms. The landscaping of every terrace and garden area is thoughtful and beautifully maintained to add to the lushness of the environment. The fruit from the garden finds its way to the breakfast table in the form of fresh squeezed juice and marmalade.
Beyond the exceptional amenities, what makes a villa vacation an exceptional experience is the staff looking after you day to day. At Villa Veronica , they are smiling and attentive without being overbearing as well as flexible, accommodating changes of plan. The waiter speaks English the entire team is utterly discreet in the way they deliver their own special brand of hospitality, viewing themselves not so much as hosts but as your assistants.
In particular, Villa Veronica is fortunate to have the fabulous Consiglia in the kitchen eight hours a day, preparing up to two meals as you prefer. This format for services is ideal as you can choose to sleep in and take a slow morning with a large cooked brunch then dinner, or come back from a day excursion to Pompeii, Herculaneum, Capri or the like for a refreshing swim and shower before coming to the terrace amid the scents of an abundant and delicious meal to be served al fresco. Consiglia is a gem and a superb cook, happy to welcome guests to the kitchen to watch her work. Hands-on cooking classes — using the Villa’s antique forno for bread and pizza or learning how to put together any of the regional specialties — can be arranged as well.

Garden Level
- Characteristic neighborhood staircase leads to principal entrance on Garden Level. Lower Level also accessible directly from neighborhood stairs.
- Expansive main terrace runs the length of the Villa and is set with both dining and living areas, seating 16 at each. Lovely grapevine pergola for shade. Panoramic view of Positano looking west towards Capri with open expanse of sea and sky. Huge antique ‘orce’, once used for oil, filled with flowering plants. Multiple double doors open to dining/kitchen area and principal living room.
- Adjacent terrace with infinity-edge pool (7 x 3.5 meters, 1.70 meters deep, ladder only) with sun beds, outdoor hot/cold shower. Guest bath on adjacent Main Terrace for convenience of those enjoying the pool.
- Stairs lead to upper garden, lawn studded with almond, olive, lemon and mandarin trees, independent access to gate and 100 meter walk to Villa Cardinale (see Rental Notes)
- Double doors from Main Terrace lead to double-size, vaulted dining area (open to kitchen) with antique wood tables and sideboards. Seats up to 16 in various configurations for family-style dining with comfortable upholstered chairs.
- Large partially open kitchen (gas stove, double ovens, microwave, large fridge/freezer, double sinks) with professional appliances. Forno a legno for pizza nights and baking bread.
- Double Living Room reached directly from Dining Room or Main Terrace. Entertainment center with plasma TV (55 cm), and Pay-per-view; three seating areas with seating for 16+; two double doors open to front terrace for seamless indoor/outdoor living. Library with old and new books in multiple languages. Desk with integrated office services (scanner, fax, copier, all via WiFi). iPad for guests’ use for controlling email, taking/sending photos. iPod with Bluetooth enabled Bose stereo (portable – can be taken to the pool area).

- 2015 Two more bedrooms were added in the attic, reflected in the last photos, very bright and spacious can each be rented as two quads for a total of 24 guests. These two rooms are ideal for families. Each suite has two bedrooms with separate baths, but does require you to walk thru the bedroom. Option can be kept as two doubles with total privacy and then villa accomodates 20 guests.

Exclusions
Refundable damage deposit to be paid by credit card 3 days prior to arrival: 3,000 and credited back 3 business days after check-out Additional staff time available at extra charge. Telephone/ fax paid based on actual usage. Personal laundry will be charged extra if done by staff. The kitchen service is included but, on arrival, guests are required to pay 2000 Euros in cash for supplies (food and drinks and any other extra services requested), which will need to be supplemented during the stay if not sufficient. Parking: 25 Euros per day for cars, 30 Euros per day for vans.
